Q: What's the 0-100 km/h time for the 2008 Subaru WRX with a 4 speed automatic transmission? Thank you!?
What's the 0-100 km/h time for the 2008 Subaru WRX with a 4 speed automatic transmission? Thank you! I know the manual version runs about 6.1 seconds. What about the automatic version? It seems pretty good in an Youtube clip

A: I'm guessing about .5 to .75 seconds slower than the manual. Really it's only at the start where it suffers from lag. Once you get going, the auto has fewer gears so acceleration should start to catch up. Plus without having to let off the gas to shift, you don't lose any spool between shifts. I had an 02 WRX with an auto. After getting a higher flowing turbo back exhaust and getting it tuned, my car was every bit as fast as a manual from a stop. It was even faster from a roll.

Q: Why does the 2008 Subaru WRX have a 4 speed auto?
I don't drive stick, but I do know that 4 speeds is just not enough today. Civic's have 5 gears standard. Is there something different about this auto tranny? Is it worth getting one? Well first off, I don't own a honda haha. Otherwise the 5 door impreza is gorgeous, the wrx is quick, and the AWD is safe/fun.

A: If you're getting a WRX, it should have a manual.

Q: I want to buy a blow off valve for a 2008 Subaru WRX. What are good ones or brands that i could buy?
It is for my boyfriend. I really don't know too much about cars and parts so I'm looking for help. I want something that is good quality for a decent price. Any ideas? Please on;y answer if you really know what you are talking about. Thank you!

A: GET A TURBOSMART DUAL PORT BOV. Youll get the great sound and the air recirculation thats good for you car

Q: What's the bolt pattern for 2008 Subaru WRX?
What's the bolt pattern for 2008 Subaru WRX? Will the previous generation WRX STI wheels fit the 08 WRX? Will the 07 WRX wheels fit the 08 WRX?

A: All WRX's are 5X100. Only 04 STI will fit your car. 05 and up STI's are 5X114.3. Not sure about the offstet on the new ones. Both WRX and STI used to be +53mm but the new STI's are +55mm so the new WRX may be the same too.

Q: 2008 Honda Civic Si sedan or 2008 Subaru WRX?
I have narrowed my decision for a new lease down to a Honda Civic Si sedan or a Subaru Impreza WRX and cannot decide between the two. It is a lease so depreciation is not a factor and neither is reliability because they are both good names. I am aware that they Honda gets a little better gas mileage but that is not a deciding factor. For all of you car guys out there, what would you pick and why? I forgot to add that the lease price is the same.

A: I would take the Si. The WRX is faster and more practical, but the Si looks much better and is the most reliable compact car. Both are reliable and both have some of the best resale value.

Q: does the navigation system/sirius radio on a 2008 subaru WRX work in Anchorage, Alaska?
looking to buy this car but want to verify these options will work in Alaska before I make a decision

A: I have 2 cars with NAV and they both say they don't work in Alaska and Hawaii. There might be data discs for those areas though so you should look in the owner's manual for the name and website used to update your nav data. This needs to be done once in a while to keep up with road changes and the like. Maybe they have a disc for the hinterlands.

Q: 2008 Subaru WRX wagon VS 2007 BMW 228i?
I'm buying one of these two cars..please give me some advice 2008 Subaru WRX wagon VS 2007 BMW 228i

A: BMW if you got the money Subaur if you dont. Both can be had with AWD, the BM rides better, but the Sub can take more abuse

Q: What do you think about the new Subaru Wrx 2008???
Should i get the Subaru Wrx 2007 be4 the hideous 08 wrx comes in?

A: I like the Bugeye 02, cause that is what I had. I hate the silly form over functio hood scoop of the late versions (05-07). I think the new 08 looks more refined. Heck, the door windows are now framed. At least they will not rattle when shut. Plus, the 08 is supposed to be lighter. I would go with the 08 or find a nice 02. Either way...go with what YOU like.

Q: Will the price of the new 2008 subaru wrx sti go down next year this time?

A: from my knowledge, subaru isn't making a 2008 sti model. just the wrx tr from what I know.

Q: please help me get a subaru 2008 WRX STI I'm going to find a way so help me! It will be good karma. JOB IDEAS
hey I'm 21 I need to have a subaru wrx sti 2008 I was working in the mortgage industry making big bucks, but you know what happen to that business. I'm looking for a new job! How can I make some real money...seriously my goal is within a month to own a STI...what would you do? I want serious answers because if you believe it or not this is a very serious question. I will own one of these cars soon but I need your help to figure out how I'm going to pay for this. I need money I need this car and I need it ASAP. What would you do in this situation? anything? Ok well this was a random question I hope I get a good response. I'm a good kid I go to school only have about 2 more years of college until I have a finance degree, but in the meantime I need to make money..what can I do to make good money?

A: First, you don't "need" an STi. You "Really, Really, Reeaaalllly WANT IT". We all do. Hell, if I wasn't married, I'd be driving an 08 STi right now. But I'm stuck with my 06 WRX. You want to get a job where you can buy a $35,000 STi within a month. Good luck with that. The most you can do is earn 2 or 3 thousand dollars in a month and use that for downpayment. But the monthly finance and insurance will kick your butt. Try to land yourself in a paid internship with a finance company or something, they should give good salaries. If you do end up with the STi, do us all a favor and don't be a douche and wreck the car or get in other peoples harms way. It'll look bad for the rest of us Subie owners ;-)

Q: blow off valve problems on 2008 Subaru WRX?
i replaced my factory blow-off valve with an aftermarket one that vents to the atmosphere, will reseting my ECU keep the air/fuel ratio from being rich?

A: No. There is nothing short of switching to a blow through system that will fix it. That's why the BOV should be left alone. Why did you change it? Watching too much F&F? The richness is just between shifts but it's enough to do some damage. You may have idle problems too. I would put the stock one back on and stop modding without research before you ruin your new car.

Q: will the new subaru wrx 2008 come in any different trims? sti transmission?
was thing about buying the new hatch. comes in manual or auto. but with auto you cant buy the NAV. WHats the deal? Also the new STI, still only going to come in manual?

A: I have an 08 WRX manual with Sat Nav. I understand they will release a sedan mid next year. I was hesitant buying the hatch but I soooo wanted another Rex after going without for a few years. Anyway - now I love it. It's a superb car - faster, more comfortable, better on rough corners and quieter (road noise wise) than either my bug-eye or my 03. Turbo lag is almost non-existent and torque is amazing. I understand the Sti will only be in manual here in Australia. Don't know about elsewhere but can't imagine an auto Sti anyway. That's sort of like showering in a raincoat!

Q: 2008 subaru wrx?
I REALLLY WANT THE STI BUT It's 10k more so what do you think about the 08 WRX?? What simple mods could speed it up? How much do they cost? ....I also considered a used sti, but I LOVE the new body style does anyone have websites that sell parts for the 08 wrx?

A: I can give you a list of simple mods like a decat new plugs induction kit etc etc but your really better off going to a Subaru forum, reason they will give advice on the best mods for the car and which ones to get and from where, also many forums have traders whom use them and give discount and also forums usually have a group buy system. Ask on there for link to best sites as all most of us can do is give you sites that come up on a search engine but,you really want sites from owners which you know are safe to use ,as you don't want to lose your well earned money. http://bbs.scoobynet.com/forum.php http://forums.sidc.co.uk/ http://www.type-ra.co.uk/vB/index.php http://www.milsport.co.uk/cgi-bin/jump_forum.cgi http://www.subaru-impreza.org/ http://www.subaruforum.co.uk/login.php?sid=0133ef2ffa8988b0dc06ba7f527ae864 A few of a quick search .don't worry to much about countries at this point as info is info myself is a member of forums all over the world for my car, this may differ with parts when buying but could still point you to good sites. sales info http://www.cars101.com/impreza.html http://www.zercustoms.com/news/2008-Subaru-Impreza-WRX-price.html http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/2008-Subaru-Impreza/ http://www.usedcarexpert.co.uk/price-guide/Subaru/Impreza/2008

Q: Does a 2008 Subaru WRX have paddle shifters?

A: Not only the EVO, but the base Lancer will have them as well. But they are right, no factory WRX has paddle shifters.

Q: 2008 Mitsubishi EVO vs. 2008 Subaru WRX STI?
Which do you think is better and why? I personally like the EVO alot more because of its looks and preformance.

A: look at their rally credentials, if i were you i`d go for the evo, it certainly looks sleeker/absolutely better than a subaru,...in terms of performance, that would depend on whose behind the wheel, but certainly when your on an evo, your the hands down winner in tems of aesthetic specs,,,the subaru looks like a turbo charged rally toad in blue and gold trim
