Q: 2006 Subaru Tribeca ?????
I am going to buy one off my friend. Is it fast? can you give me an estimate 0-60 in how many seconds ?
Thanks,
Roxy
A: The B9 Tribeca was in general consensus under-powered if you are looking for something fast. 0-60 is over 7 seconds and the quarter mile times are in the high 16 second, almost 17 second range. To give you a comparison, it'd be about as fast as a 2001 Civic Coupe. You are not really going to surprise anyone at stoplights with it. :)
They bumped up the power significantly in 2008, though. As well as no longer requiring premium fuel as the 2006 did.
Q: What kind of car would you recommend for under $20000 Canadian?
We are thinking of buying a new vechicle that would only really be used to drive back and forth to work (less then 10 minutes away) and for running errands. We already own a 2006 Subaru Tribeca B9 and would use a 89 Jaguar V12 convertible possibly for a trade in, any ideas?
Ummm....i said UNDER $20,000
A: Saturn Aura, its the best rated sedan, or Honda Fit is you want a hatchback
Q: Subaru B9 Tribeca Limited...?
I just got one, a 2006. And while it's a cool little car, I can't work it. I almost want my Lincoln back. How to I change the trip settings, and set the memory seating? Note: I have NO clue where these controls are even located and the manual is as helpful as a pile of crap. I'm quite frustrated. One last question: Can I set the DVD player in back to work through the car's sound system instead of the headphones, and if so, how?
A: The memory seats are fairly simple. There are three buttons on the side of the driver seat. When you get your seat where you want it, press the first button and the number button you want set at the same time. It will set.
The trip settings are on the touch screen. You can only work it while the car is parked. If you have a GPS system, press the map button.
The DVD player will play through the sound system if you press the audio button as it is playing. It will display on the front screen as long as the car is parked, but you can listen as you drive.
The headphones will not work in the front seat - all you hear is static.

Q: I am trying to compare compact SUVs. Can I get some opinions from people who drive them?
I want a 2006 or 2007 Subaru B9 Tribeca. It has AWD standard and Subuaru's are known for being reliable.
I am also looking at the CRV, RAV4, Saturn Vue and further down the list possibly a Hyundai Sante Fe.
I would love to hear reviews from people who have or have had these cars.
Thanks!
A: Tribeca and Sante Fe are large compared to CR-V and Rav4 and Vue.
Subaru Forestor and Hyundai Tuscon are the compact SUV's that they make.
The Subaru Forestor is best in class.
I actually have driven all of these cars.
The Honda CR-V is most reliable, but the Subaru is also one of the top brands in reliability as well as Toyota.
The Vue is best on gas and cheapest, but has worst resale value.
Honda or Subaru, you can't go wrong.
Toyota is just boring.
