Q: What is wrong with my 2008 Subaru Tribeca?
We purchased our 2008 Subaru Tribeca in April. It is less then 6 months old. Last night it would not start. It is not the battery.
We had it towed to the dealership, but they can't find what's wrong with it. The service guy said they still need to check the "brain" of the car. Any thoughts? Suggestions?
A: Whatever it is is under warranty so they will figure it out. If they don't and you have the same trouble with t they will have to replace the car so they will fix it. As long as they are taking care of it and treating you good, don't worry about it too much. It could be something as simple as a vacuum leak somewhere and they just need to locate it.
Q: How many people does a Subaru Tribeca,a Nissan Rogue, and a Toyota Highlander hold?
I would like to buy one of them, but I'm not sure which one to choose. They all look sleek and stylish,
but I want an SUV that holds at least 8 people.
A: i dont think any of those fit eight max five especially the rogue the tribeca i heard has a third row (it holds 7) and so does the highlander but the highlander third row really only fits little kids have you checked out the trailblazer or the envoy they also seat seven none with eight in your selections.
Q: Is a Subaru tribeca good for Mom of 3?
I'm trying to decide if I should go for a fun to drive suv (already have a '03 sequoia) like it, but it eats so much gas. Or go for the minivan. So are there any tribeca owners with 3 kiddos out there and what is your mpg? Is the 3rd row easy to get to and roomy enough? My kids ages are 3,6, and 8. thanks.
A: The tribeca is a great car... Safe, and lots of space... Currently getting 17.7, but once it warms up, should expect about 18.9 mpg... Hope all works out, and let us know what you get!
Q: What is the top speed and acceleration times of a 2008 Subaru Tribeca?
A good site where many performance stats are posted for cars?
A: all newer cars are electronicly goverened by the speed rating on the tires. The 08 tribeca has H rated tires H rating is 130mph. The 0-60 is in the 7s.
you can find the tires that come on a car by the manufactures site (www.subaru.com) I found the chart for tire speed ratings at howstuffworks.com type tires in to the search bar. as far as aceleration I know this becaus the 07 is 8.5 seconds on the 0-60 read that in car and driver and the 08 is just a little faster.
Q: Does anyone own a 2007 Subaru Tribeca and if so how is it?
I would like to know how the car drives and whether the 5 or 7 passenger car is better.
A: Both an 07 and an '08!
The '08 is much improved from an already great '07.
The '08 uses regular gas and has much better pick up and a smoother ride. But the '07 rocks too!
'07 was 5 pas. '08 is 7 pas. 7 is a little tight, but is nice when you have more than 5 ppl. to haul
Q: What is your opinion of the Subaru B9 Tribeca? And who owns one?
I am thinking of maybe leasing a Subaru B9 Tribeca Lmt.7pass. in the next couple of months.
I like what I've read but don't really know much about the vehicle what is your oppinion
A: I love it. They handle great, very quiet, smooth and comfortable. Third row seat is very small though, but is okay for small children.
Q: Hows the sound system in the Subaru Tribeca 2008 compared to other cars?
A: Very good sound system in the 2008 Tribeca. There is a subwoofer as part of the system that makes a big difference in the overall sound. Mine has the DVD entertainment system. It has wireless headphones for the rear seats.
I've been very pleased with the overall quality of the sound.
Q: Does a Subaru B9 Tribeca have 8 cupholders?
I'd also like to know if it has video game playing capabilties, a navigation system with either a man's or a woman's voice, 4 cigarette lighters and phone and address information for all business listing in the US (I'm assuming in the navigation system).
If any of these are not options for the Subaru Tribeca could you please tell me?
Thanks!
A: I'm not sitting in my Tribeca right now, but let me think.
there are two cupholders in the front middle, and then one on each door in the front, so that's four for the front.
There is on on each door in the second row, so that's six.
there is also one on each side if sitting in the third row. So, yes, there are eight, but only if you are using the 3rd row seats. the Two in the front center are illuminated by a blue LED at the bottom, very cool if you put clear water bottles in them at night. :)
You can change the Nav's system's voice to either a Man's or a Woman's (most have named her 'Becky). Your choice.
The Nav system does have business address and phone info- although be careful what Nav disk you get. There is a new one released, Version 2.0 I think, that has updated information.
If you want to play video games, you need to order the rear DVD system, and then you get video input ports for your game system.
'07's are a steal right now. 7 pass limited version with Nav are less then $30K - that's like 7 or 8K below MSRP. Of course, this is because the '08's are hitting the lot with the new 3.6L engine (which I like) and the facelift (which I don't).
Q: Used SUVs - Hyundai Santa Fe or Subaru Tribeca, which is better?
2007 models. Assuming the mileage, options and prices are basically the same.
Anyone with personal experience on reliability, comfort of drives, etc
Just to clarify, - I am for the Subaru, my boyfriend is stuck on getting the Hyundai. I am trying to get together some good info to present to him to bolster my position.
A: Hyundais are pieces of crap with absolutely no resale value, they are cheaply built, and their price reflects that, If you want a car to run into the ground and haul to the junk yard when you kill it, go with the hyundai. If you are going to take care of the car and try to sell it when you want a new car go with the subaru, plus hyundais dont have the advantage of the boxer engine.
Q: Where can I get a good deal on a new Subaru Tribeca?
A: Depends on where you live.
Check on Subaru.com for local dealers.
Look for the larger dealerships if possible. They sell more cars and may give you a better deal.
Most promotins are national and you can look up the specials at Subaru.com
The Tribeca is a GREAT vehicle.
I am driving one now.
Q: Which is better for my situation, the subaru baja or the subaru tribeca??
I want to buy a used car.I have a baby and a big stroller. My husband is in the Army so its going to be up to me to take care of the car so I want to chose the easiest to take care of.I dont have a car & I've never owned 1 so this will all be new experience for me.I'll probably use it to do the everyday things.
A: The Baja is like a mini-pick up with an open rear. This means the stroller will be affected by the weather, and being in the army you will be moving (possible) to an area with inclement weather, so I vote Tribecca. They are both very safe vehicles, being subarus. If you can handle the higher ground clearance, stick with the Tribecca. I know there is a price difference, but the Tribecca will serve family needs better than a Baja. A baja is basically for new drivers, teens to college who want to take surfboards or skis to events, or retired folks who want to hit the road and carry stuff. I am sure you will not be disappointed with the subaru.
Q: What car should I buy? 2009 Subaru Tribeca 5pas Limited or 2009 Honda Pilot EX-L?
I'm a mom with a baby, and will use the car mainly for commute/grocery shopping/driving family and baby around. Thanks!!
A: do you need the 8 pas seating of the Honda?
the Tribeca is more 'tossable' (easily driven in traffic) the Honda more roomy.
personally, if you don't need the extra size i'd get the subaru. none of your friends will have one, plus if you go on various review websites, lot's of people complain about the trans in the pilots (and Acurac MDX which has the same trans) giving them problems.
Q: Does anyone have a Nissan Murano? How is it compared to the Subaru Tribeca?
A: To me the new Subaru looks like they were trying to copy the style of the murano but I have noticed that a lot on other SUV that size. I would say get the murano its an elegant looking SUV that can get dirty when need be. It also comes with Nissan's 3.5 v6 engine which is one of ward list top 10 engines in the world for about 13 years straight I doubt Subaru can say that. My brother has a murano it now has 98,000 miles and it runs like the day he bought it. Trick to it is just do your regular maintenance on it and put the good gas on it trust me. take a look at this link this should help you out some more also if you want a smaller 4Cyl version of it look into the new Nissan rogue

A: This is your lucky day, I've been searching around everywhere and remembered it was on the film "The In Laws", so I found the soundtrack and heard all the songs on youTube, and finally I found it. It's called "Di-Gue-Ding-Ding" by Michel Legrand (i think the right spelling). Its on a weird youTube video called "gift wrapping" at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwGvqKkCotQ
or type in "Di gue ding ding" on youTube search, hope this helps, I'd love to move to Canada (I live in Australia, Victoria). I saw your question and just couldn't leave you hanging, I hope I'm not too late. See ya
Q: Why does the Subaru B9 Tribeca look like a mad clown chasing you down the highway?
That is one of the ugliest vehicle on the road? but some looks at it and says "oooohh that looks cool" or "its badass"
A: those things are fugly
