i had called and was talking to a subaru mec and he said that if you tint it to dark or something like that the radio wont work. cause the antena is in the back windshield. is this true or what please share any info.

A: ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT JUST THE GLASS OR THE COMPLETE ASSEMBLY? THE GLASS CAN BE REPLACED BY A GLASS/MIRROR SHOP FOR ABOUT 25.00. IF YOU NEED TO CHANGE OUT THE ASSEMBLY GENERALLY THE DOOR PANEL MUST COME OFF. I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH YOUR SPECIFIC CAR, SO THERE MAY BE A HARD PLASTIC COVER ON THE INSIDE OF THE CAR HIDING THREE NUTS THAT SECURE THE MIRROR TO THE DOOR PRY THE COVER OFF OR IT MAY HAVE A SCREW IN IT . IF BY CHANCE THE WIRING PLUGS INTO THE BACK OF THE MIRROR YOU WILL NOT NEED TO REMOVE THE DOOR PANEL BUT IF NOT THE PANEL MUST COME OFF TO REACH THE CONNECTORS.

A: Any STI is a great car for any individual who respects perfect engineering :) And is also a driving junkie.. A 2007 STI will run you about 30,000 Plus.. you WILL NOT find one cheaper unless you go for a 2004 2005 model, which looks better anyways.

A: The resale value is much higher on the Subaru than the mitsubishi. I would buy the subaru for that reason alone, not only that but the subaru is AWD and performance wise is an all around better car. Besides, 90 percent of the time I see a new eclipse its a female driver. You don't want a chick car do ya?

Q: Subaru Impreza 2007 stalls at low speeds especially when reversing even with clutch in.?
It can stall 3 times getting out of the driveway rolling downhill with clutch in about 10m. It is also making a gurgling water noise when starting off in 1st gear & now sometimes in 2nd. Have previously had gear box problems. 2nd service they changed the oil to make the gears work properly. Now done 10,000k but gears still chunky to use and reverse still tricky. Is it all connected?

hey im new to this forum and i just got a new 2007 subaru impreza 2.5i. The thing is amazing. Handles well and everything. Since i did not have enuff cash to purchase it i leased the car. I want to put a Axel back sti muffler probably on it and a cold air intake, you know small stuff. I know its a waste of money since its a lease but i dont care. The main thing is if i put those parts in does it void the warrenty? i was planing to get SPT parts so it can be directly from subaru so i dont think ill have a problem. What do you guys say? and are the SPT parts any good?

A: Check your lease contract first. My experience is no you can't as a lease and yes you run the risk of voiding the warranty.

When the check engine light came on the cruise control light also started to blink. I know I need to get my car looked at, but I was wondering if anyone knew what this might mean. Is it extremely urgent or can it wait till next weekend?

A: find a Autozone near where you live and they will hook up the scan tool for free, and it will tell you what is the light coming on for.

A: Didn't you just ask this question about the Evo? As I said, there is only one car in production (to my knowledge) that does this and that is the SRT-4. If you want this, buy an SRT-4. You CAN achieve the back fire (though it's bad for your car) by running straight pipes (no cat, no muffler, just straight down from the headers). I wouldn't do it though. Usually all you need is a new muffler and you'll get the popping noise that you seem so eager to have. But to be honest, do you really want that? It makes your car sound screwed up and will draw police attention.

A: The WRC cars are limited by 34mm restrictors on the turbos. But with all the gadgets and sponsor dollars they are significantly faster than similar cars with more horsepower. Wheel horsepower on the STi car is around 300. But the carbon fibre makes it fast.

A: If your car still under warranty, bring it back and have the dealership to adjust it for you. I think it still under the power train. It looks awkward, I guessed when you drive it, you can feel the car is going sideway instead of straight. The rear, you may need to take out the entire assembly and then adjust it. I don't think you can adjust it with the OEM setting; unless you get the chamber kit.
