Q: How much would a 2006 Subaru impreza wrx sti cost?
How much would it cost if it was new and or used. After taxes and how much monthly. As an Ontario resident.
A: suggested retail value for a wrx sti is - $27,160
private party sale- $25,240 excellent - $23,795 good- $21,745 fair (condition)
all are for a base model with 30,000 miles on it which is the avg. for a car according to AAA 15,000 mile a year
the 08's are not that nice and they are only making 800 of them, i think the 06' is the nicest looking wrk sti they made
Q: What is the stock turbo on a 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STI?
Is it a ball bearing turbo? or is it an older style of the turbo? Also what kinda horsepower and boost level does it run? Is it possible to get more out of it with turbo timers, or to remove some of the turbo lag? Also is it possible to dual turbo this car?
A: i agree, turbo timers don't do jack. the wrx/sti doesn't need a turbo timer thanks to the circulation of "coolant" even after the engine is turned off. but....don't beat the car then turn it off, not good for any car. as for the boost, i don't know if it's still the vf39 and i think they run 16lbs. from what i heard the lag isn't bad at all. a uppipe will get rid of alot as well as header. if your interested in buying the car be prepared to learn how to drive all over again. (with awd you can't do alot of things your used to). the hp and tq rating have changed with the new sae rating system so thats why the numbers are changing.

A: Spoiler is the same but the scoop is smaller and Subaru added a wind vane to help with aerodynamics on the rear spoiler.

Q: what is the cheapest modification that can be done to increase torque on a 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX?
A: Neither upgrading the drive shaft or changing the intake will produce any more hp or torque for your subi. The intake will do nothing but suck in a bunch of hot air that your radiator produces, thus warming up the stock intercooler and on hot days you will experience power loss and in some cases bogging. The best and cheapest way to produce power is either w/ an accessport which will allow you to run a more smoother map, won't give you much but will broaden your power curve and/or upgrading your downpipe which will free up more air to pass through.
Q: What would be the best way to tune a subaru wrx 2006 impreza?
i know that since these cars are all wheel drive;they're not too good with top end. What would be some good ways to make it faster (other than upgrading the turbo) and hel[p performance?
A: Turbo back exhaust cobb accessport down pipe. you would be stage 2 with that, but you would also void your warranty. You might want to get better brakes. i went with the hawks and i also did Goodridge stainless steel braided brake lines. Basically everything -bean- said Stay away from BOV's and aftermarket intakes. Most dyno shops wont touch a subaru with an aem intake and I have heard that the oils from the K&N filter will mess with your mass air flow sensor. Good luck and have fun with your car. A: why do you want to stay away from K&N?
I find their filters to be pretty decent.

Q: 2006 Subaru Impreza 2.0R vs. 2006 Acura RSX (Base Model)?
Hey, I'm 15 turning 16 in 2 months and I was wondering what car is better; a 2006 Subaru Impreza 2.0R (not WRX or STi) or a 2006 Acura RSX (not Type-S)?
Which car has more hp, more torque, better 0-60 time etc...(which car is faster). Also which car gets better gas mileage?
Which car in your opinion looks better and which one would you pick if you were me.

A: both cars are good... but if u want a suby its better at least a wrx model,
ive never really been a good fan of acuras so i cant say anyting on the acura i just know its front wheel drive, that has its ups and downs...
good reason to get the suby, is its fuel efficient and of course the >>> awd <<<
Q: who thinks the 2006 Subaru Impreza is ugly, why?
I dont, alot of people say it is.
A: Its not ugly it just kind of exhaggerates what the '02s subtle features are. See i also like the '02 better, but b/c it flows from the front air scoop to the functional wing in the back. It looks aggressive and has got the balls to back it up. And the same is true with the '06 but they kinda went overboard trying to make it look more aggressive than the previous model.
